SOCCER RULES & INFORMATION

6 A-SIDE - BIG COURT

ALL TEAMS MUST BE AVAILABLE TO PLAY BETWEEN

6.30pm - 10.15pm

TEAM REGISTRATION FORM and registration fee must be completed and paid each season before a game day and time will be given. The registration form requires name, contact details and identification details for both the captain and vice captain, and names and contact details for players.

SHIN PADS are compulsory. Players will not be permitted to play without them.

KNOX INDOOR is not responsible for supplying a training ball. The match ball will not be given out.

A TEAM consists of 6 players including goalkeeper with unlimited substitute players.

GAME DURATION - 40 minutes / 2 x 20 minute halves with a 2 minute break. Teams must be prepared to play any games from kick off at 6:30pm to 10:15pm. Any teams not able to commit to this arrangement should not enter the competition.

TEAM REGISTRATION FEE - $80 per season, payable upon registration of the team. No other entrance fees apply to players or spectators.

MATCH FEE $80 per week, per team, to be paid before your game.

FORFEITS If teams are unable to play a match, a minimum of seven days notice is required.Cancellation by telephone will not be accepted. If this is not given, a forfeit fee equivalent to the weekly match fee is required to continue on in the competition. If a team forfeits then they must pay for that game in advance before they are given a game time for the following week.
The team playing opposite a team who has forfeited will still be be offered a game. It is up to your captain to pay the match fee before the game starts. You will get a 5-point win for the game.

UNDER NO circumstances will the game commence if full payment has not been made and no team or players are permitted down to the field unless full payment has been made.

CAPTAIN / VICE CAPTAIN is responsible to pay the match fee prior to the commencement of the game and ensure all players are listed correctly on the scorecard for that match. Teams will be penalised one (1) goal per team for not listing all players. The Captain must ensure that all new players are entered on the Team Registration Form prior to playing, which is held by the Centre. It is the Captains responsibility to ensure that the Team Registration Form is always up to date. Management and the referee reserve the right to ask for ID if required. The Captain is to ensure that all players are aware of the game rules. The Captain must make himself known to the referee prior to the game. The Captain will be held responsible for the actions of its players and spectators. If a team forfeits then they must pay for that game in advance before a game time is given for the following week.

GAME RULES
 are similar to outdoor rules, excluding the offside and tackling. Players cannot make contact with the net at any time of the game. This will result in a free kick to the opposition.

FOULS
 to tackle from the side, or behind, between a players legs or slide tackling from all angles is not allowed. Slide tackling is an automatic Yellow Card. However, you may clearly play the ball from behind and the side as long as no contact is made during or after the challenge, a foul will be given at the referee's discretion.

GOALKEEPER
 rules exactly the same as outdoor rules.

FREE KICKS
 All free kicks will be taken as direct free kicks. The wall must be established at least five (5) metres away. Any free kicks within the Danger Zone (inside the tennis court at either end of the field) must be taken after the referees whistle. The referee will allow the defending Team to organise a wall before blowing the whistle.
Players cannot make contact with the net at any time of the game. This will result in a free kick to the opposition.

BACK PASSES
 are the only foul that will result in an indirect free kick. The ball will be placed at the point, which the goalkeeper took possession. The wall will be placed 5 metres from that point or the goal line (whichever is applicable).

UNIFORMS
 (no jeans) Teams will be penalised one (1) goal per team for not wearing the correct shirts. Identical shirts are required, excluding the goalkeeper. Goalkeepers must wear a different colour shirt and are the only player who may wear long pants. All other players must wear shorts. NOearrings, chains, rings, watches, hats etc. are allowed to be worn during the game.

SUBSTITUTIONS
 the referee must authorize all substitutions. No substitutions are allowed beyond the 38-minute mark (the last 2 minutes of the game).

ATTENTION
 - ALL PLAYERS must sign their name on the Player Registration & Scorecard at reception upon arrival. The last player to sign the form is responsible for giving the Scorecard to the referee in order for the game to start. All players must know and understand the rules of the game and the conditions of the Centre. All new players are responsible to ensure that their name is entered on the original Team Registration Form held by the Centre. All teams are responsible for their friends and spectators behaviour, as this will affect your team being allowed to continue in the competition.
TEAMS will be penalised one (1) goal for lateness. Teams are advised to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the game. The referee will start the electronic clock at the scheduled game time. All team players must pay a compulsory player insurance fee. Knox Indoor Soccer Centre will not accept any liability. Please ensure all valuables are taken care of, as Knox Indoor Soccer Centre will not accept any responsibility for loss of property.

YELLOW CARD
 - Warning. RED CARD - Send off.
 
RED CARD - Given under severe circumstances. Suspended for the rest of the match and also the following week. If you are given a red card, you will not be able to play in any games for the rest of that night, or the following week. If the same player receives three (3) red cards in a two (2) month period, that player will be suspended for six (6) consecutive weeks.
Players sent off for fighting or arguing with the referee or staff (during or after the game) will automatically receive a minimum of a one (1) match suspension. Management will determine the length of the suspension, depending on the severity. Any person that touches or threatens the referee will receive a minimum of a four (4) match suspension.

REFEREE 
All decisions by the referee are final. Do not argue with the referee, he will not change his mind. Teams have no choice in referees. If a team wishes to question or speak to the referee, only the captain may approach the referee at either half time or at the end of the game, in a calm and reasonable manner. The referee has management of the whole floor area, which includes the field and spectators seating areas. The referee is authorised to evict players and spectators from the field and the centre at his discretion.

FINALS
 All players must be registered on the Team Registration Form held by the Centre. All players must have played in a minimum of five (5) matches for the same team during the current seasons to be eligible to play in finals. Players are only allowed to play for one team during finals.

SPORTSMANSHIP
 behaviour is required at all times and spitting, racial abuse and swearing will be considered a serious offence. Management reserves the right to ask both players and spectators to leave the Centre and not come back if their behaviour is considered unacceptable. Teams or players may be disqualified from the competition at the discretion of Management at any time and no refund will be given.

ALCOHOL
 may only be consumed upstairs that has been purchased from the centre. You may not take alcohol downstairs under any circumstances and may not bring alcohol into our Centre. No food or drink is to be bought into the centre. Water is accepted.

All rules shall be interpreted by the Referee & Management in accordance with the Knox Indoor Soccer Rules

WIN = 5 POINTS
DRAW = 1 POINT
NO SHOW = Minus 10 POINTS
CANCELLATION = Minus 5 POINTS
